CanopIQ ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use the CanopIQ platform at app.canopiq.io.
GOOGLE SIGN-IN DISCLOSURE
When you sign in with Google, CanopIQ accesses your Google account email address and display name only. We do not access your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, or any other Google services.
01. Data We Collect
Account Information
- Email address (via Google OAuth or direct signup)
- Display name or username
- Facility name and location (state/region)
- Account role and permissions within your organization
Cultivation Data
- Plant photos uploaded for AI diagnostics
- Environment sensor readings — temperature, humidity, VPD, CO₂
- Strain names, grow room configurations, and cultivation notes
- Harvest weights, yield records, and batch identifiers
02. How We Use Data
We use the data we collect solely to provide and improve the CanopIQ platform. Specifically:
- Authenticate your identity and manage access to your account
- Run AI diagnostics on plant photos using Gemini Vision
- Display environment monitoring dashboards and VPD calculations
- Generate predictive yield estimates based on your grow data
We do not use your data to train external AI models, sell advertising, or profile you for third-party marketing purposes.
03. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with infrastructure providers who help us operate the platform (e.g., Supabase for database hosting, Vercel for application hosting). Each is bound by data processing agreements and privacy obligations.
04. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases with Row-Level Security (RLS). This means every query is scoped to your organization, ensuring tenant-level isolation at the database level.
05. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your CanopIQ account is active. You have the right to request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing ryan@canopiq.io. We complete deletion requests within 30 days.
